Sun & sea

The wonderful coast gives you plenty of options. There are both sandy and rock beaches, depending on what you prefer.When there are rocks, water is crystal clearbut sometimes you may need sandals to access the sea. On the other hand, sand is rather fine and it is perfect if you have kids.

Most of the beaches are free. However, there are also establishments, where you can rent seats and umbrellas on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Archeological sites

The area is full of archeological sites. The ones we really suggest you see are:

Trekking

Trekking is picking up in Cilento. This is still something that generally only foreigners do. For most locals, it still look crazy to “just walk” for hours under the sun. However, several paths are now available. Few paths start few minutes away from our premises. Maps and details are available at our premises. Let us know whether you need them.

 

Biking

Same as trekking. Although many locals do use bikes to go from one place to the other, people still look puzzled when they see groups of foreigners biking around. You can either do the same or buy a map and make your own plan. Since there are hills and mountains, for long rides, you do need to be trained and have a good bike.

 

Boating

This is something you should not miss. One of the best ways to see and appreciate Cilento is to rent a boat and have a tour of the most beautiful spots. Our friends in Casal Velino offer both guided tours and the possibility of renting small boat for you to decide where to go. The sea is generally flat and calm, so no worries.
